@allenck: No worries about that. Usually it happens under TT HOME, after a map update. Just give it a few days and will be back to normal.

Hi philm13,
depending on your device there are different approaches. With a NAV2 device (connecting through TT Home) you may just extract the zip-file to a folder called zip in your device's root folder.
With a NAV3 device I suppose you'll have to unzip that file and add the content via the Add Community Content feature. But this I don't know for sure.

hmmm I purchased my Via 120 on the 20th January and I'm not getting the update?
my information follows:
Map: 'Europe v880.3808
Release date 10/2011
App - 11.031.860447.74
I did manage to get an update last week but I'm sure that was just the app
Surely I can't have missed this 8.85 update, I was speaking to tomTom on facebook and requested me to come here with my problem

Hi,
I have Via 125 with Map Update Service valid till 20-01-2015, Navcore 11.031 and map: europe v8.80. However mytomtom doesn't announce any new updates and the map update service says "Good news! Your map is up to date". I have already ensured that mytomtom is allowed both by the firewall and the windows essentials thing.
Please let me know if I miss something.
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
is the map update subscription listed in your manage content area as active and valid with the expiry date? If not please call CS to get it enabled.

Lars.

Hi Alex,
that's weird. Because you should have been offered the latest map version v885 in that case.
Which browser and which operating system do you run? If it is IE on Vista or Win7 please try either IE in compatibility mode to XP or try another browser like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Also if not having enabled I recommend to enable caching of large files in your MyTomTom support application's preferences.
Check again your firewall that TCP port 443 and internet port 4000 if you use that one in the MyTomTom application are opened.
Now clear the cache of both the MyTT application and your browser and have a look if you get offered the new map.
Regards
Lars.
