Something strange is going on.

When I booted up my computer this morning MyTomTom has an item to download.

It's map 885,despite the fact that it's been on my device since the day it was released....

Looking at the Manage Content page,it shows my device and SD card memory correctly.It shows

map v885 as installed on my device but reports it as 200 bytes.....Regardless, the gps itself is fine.

I still have no idea why MyTomTom is re-offering the map though....and I know it's way too early for

the next map release

You have map v885 on your device (same as I do) my guess is no,there isn't an update...

Must be a bug in MyTomTom SA.....I'm gonna leave things be for now and see if it sorts itself out

but no way am I going to re-download a map I already have on my device...

Maybe they've fixed some bug in the map. Hard to say without an official TomTom statement.

I wondered the same Zsolt,maybe they're ironing out something and this is just the ticks that come along

with the process.....I'm sure one of the staff will let everyone know what's going on.....

Hi all,

We are indeed experiencing something strange at the moment. Even if you have the latest map installed, you will be offered to download the latest map, again.

 

Edit: This is not happening for all customers.


We're investigating this, so for the time being, please just ignore the message to download. :smileyhappy:

Hi,

I got from Julian (another of TT staff, in the German section) the answer that this bug appeared with an update to the MyTT application. It seems as if it is nearly the same as with the Denmark speed camera update that kept appearing in the MyTT application for European users with a speed cam subscription. I suppose this is an issue that can be fixed quite fast.
