Hello Ditte ,

I thought I'd let you know that I've received , downloaded , installed , backed up and restored the latest version of maps , v8.85.

Marvellous , not a hitch or glitch to be found in the operation which took a total of 15 minutes or so .

HOWEVER ~

Cast your mind back to a suggestion I made before the previous update ( I realise that you are a busy person but please bear with me ) my suggestion was that the full 7 digit/figure postcode for the UK be incorporated with each update and that would save us , the paying customers , messing about finding and installing the appropriate link .

Please pass my regards on to your I.T. people and ask them to 'GET A GRIP' because we, the PAYING CUSTOMERS , would like some form of service .

The newest navigator version includes the following change:

Version 11.031 (11.166 / 11.167)
(Start 20/25, Via 120/125, Via LIVE 120/125, GO LIVE 820/825, GO LIVE 1000/1005/1005 World)

My experience wasn't so good. Admittedly I had 26 items to install, beginning with the 11.03 update etc. But that was horrible, worst software I have ever used. Started on this at 9am, finally finished 3.15pm, must,ve rebooted my PC ten times and the tomtom twenty times, a constant battle of things like "there was a problem", "your device is not responding", locking up, "call customer service " etc etc just a total nightmare. Will never buy another to Tomtom

Were you using a wireless connection or a directly wired computer (should be the latter). Also, perhaps there is an issue with a firewall or anti-virus software that hindered a decent download of the files.

My computer was hardwired and I use Microsoft security essentials. Hardly exotic... I,ll calm down in a few days, anyway it's working now cheers
