The maps for Australia and New Zealand are produced by the Australian company Sensis. They provide maps for Google, Garmin, TomTom, and about everyone not previously mentioned They have a similar error reporting tool at

Re: Map Share Reporter for Australia

Hi community,

looks like ANZU area is working with another correction system than European area, but, don't be impressed, we are waiting also a lot of time until our corrections became shown in the maps.

Speed limits should be shown immediately on Your TT's according my experiance, circuits - surprisingly - need about three weeks, independent from map update. Complete road corrections may be expected - corresponding with the time difference to the last update - between next or second-next update. These are my experiances in good old Europe.

I am little bit disappointed Teleatlas - the European map correction system - is still operating with an old map, nevertheless a lot of community members have told this several times to TomTom. TomTom should accept our corrections very much earlier, WE are living in our areas.

@clajona

You are able to report any map errors with the mapshare reporter tool:

http://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/

When the correction(s) have been verified then it will be added to the next map version. :smileywink:

Re: Join in with TomTom’s new Map Share Reporter

[ Edited ]

It's more than 3 weeks ago and I did'nt get an answer to my question.

Is that normal ?

Are there no administrators in this forum to follow the questions people make on this forum ?

I had the impression Kenneth is/was, but he did not respond in this 3 weeks time!

Hopefully I get an answer soon, otherwise it's the last time I did visit this forum !

Hi Kenneth,

I've a question about the Map Share Reporter Service.

When I use it on a Apple MAC computer (May 2011), after I got the green pushpin icon on the map, I can't choose on the left side anything to report on that location. I click on it, but nothing happens. The window doesn't change to fill in the problem.

Is this so in case of a MAC ?

Has the problem something to do with the SAFARI browser of the MAC perhaps ?

I tried it on my old Window PC (XP) (from 2003 !) with Internet Explorer 8 and with that no problem.

Is there an update in the near future so that I can report Map correction with my MAC ?

Thank for your answer.

Map Share Reporter,

a very nice application of Tom Tom !!

Greetings from Belgium

Chris

Re: Join in with TomTom’s new Map Share Reporter

Hi clajona,

this forum is update, but, map corrections will be done onto Your TT. You can close "Your" bridge and road in Your map on Your TT, this should be shown immediately. We others will see it next or 2nd-next map update.

Taking reference to Your wrong home address try this:

If You are at home open Your TT and go to "roll the map" and zoom it. You should see a blimp on the map, which marks Your actual position.

Take this point as Your home address. Properly TT-map will show You a lot of smaller roads which will not be shown under "normal" cirumstances due most of us have configurated TT's showing the fasted route, only.

Hope, this will assist You little bit.

Re: Join in with TomTom’s new Map Share Reporter

Great idea , until i found out it does not work in New Zealand :smileysad:

I am avoiding map upgrade until our NZ maps are actually updated , whole new highway has been created and still no update so what is the point of a map update in my case ?

Re: Join in with TomTom’s new Map Share Reporter

I would wait for the update. TT is always working on Map updates from what I observed. One single location wouldn't matter that much.

Just my opnion.
