TomTomista,
Pointless doing corrections on our own map until MapShare is functioning properly. All updates will be lost each time a map update occurs - very frustrating. I would like to see my personal map corrections retained when the map is updated, until they are accepted by TomTom/map provider.
As for the height/weight limits, I have compiled my own set of POIs for low clearance/low bridges for Australia. I use these because I do a bit of oversize load work as both a truck driver and a pilot/escort vehicle driver. This is a little cumbersome in operation, but does provide the functions I need. And it is also independent of the map provider, who does not appear to be able to keep pace with changes (at least for my Australia maps).

Hi,
On the Online MapShare reporter tool, there is a category for Other corrections where you can add a change that doesn't belong to other categories, and where you can enter a description of the change (function not on the devices): http://www.tomtom.com/mapshare/tools/
Cheers,

Nothing happens with the mapshare corrections.
I stop using it an will buy a new GPS system that uses up to date cards.
TomTom is out of date for many years

MapShare Reporter works for me. I made 4 corrections and all 4 showed up in the current 880 map. However, I might not have been the only one making the same corrections.
I do agree, though, that the MapShare Reporter should use the most recent map otherwise corrections could be made where the current map has already been corrected by someone else.

I agree, it does need an icon on the main page for easy access,
especially for use while driving, smoking a cigarete and drinking a cup of coffee. I would have mentioned texting but that is illegal here in Oregon.![]()

On my XXL540 I have the option of creating a Quick Menu which will put an icon on the navigation page for various items such as "Report safety camera", Mark location of map error", "Add position to Favorites", among others and if I select only one menu item, "Add position to Favorites", for example, then it's just a single tap on that icon to save my current position as a favorite. If I put more than one in the Quick Menu then it's two taps, but I usually only have one at a time. The feature works quite well...

than I could on my GO 630....better quick menu

Hi Wayne,
I live in Canberra and after trying out my Via 220 (start20) on its very first test run from Kaleen to Garran I noticed a worrying amount of map errors. Speed limit incorrect on Lady Denmon Drive (should be 70, not 50), Dudley street speed limit wrong (should be 60, not 50) Roundabout treated as intersections on Kent street (that new round about), Glenloch interchange needs a good look over, especially if viewing the 2D map (complete mess), Told to take the fourth exit on a three port roundabout on Kitchener/Gilmore when it really wanted me to do a U turn. I have posted the names of the roads here as I am not aware of another way to report these sorts of issues.
I am pretty disturbed about continuing to use a Tom Tom device after just this first initial trip across Canberra, and yes the device had the latest map installed. Further to this all the mistakes are on long-time established roads.
Its a worry when people from Australia are not allowed to contribute to correcting mistakes in maps especially when, as you note, there are safety issues involved. Wayne, I am sorry the use of a Tom Tom device has soured your opinion of Canberra, although I am delighted someone has found a reason to hate Canberra other than the usual stigma we get about having all your politicians here ![]()
