TomToms new Map Share Reporter is an online tool that gives you a fast and simple way to report changes to TomTom maps. This is the successor to the Map Insight service Tele Atlas created a few years ago.

You can still make instant changes to your own map just by tapping them into your device.

Great - Just reported my first error! I like being able to drag the pushpin to the precise location of the error - makes it really easy. Any idea how long it mght be before corrections could wind up appearing in map updates?

Great, BUT WHY is the service based on old / unrelevant maps?!?!?! The map in the service is not even based on the current 875.xxx map which is used in so many device already!

It seem to be about the same circa as the Insight Map...... But it does have a more fluid interface,  especially zooming.

A definite improvement.....Now it needs a tab on TomTom's main page.so people can find it.

True.

Why is TomTom anyway using old maps on their homepage for routing? If someone uses this service (the route-planner) and finds out that the routing is in his opinion wrong due to old map-data, he will not buy a new TomTom device because he thinks that the maps are out of date...

Tool works well and I submitted a few reports. We'll just see how long it takes for those to be resolved.

Well this is a great service and I have just added 8 corrections in my local area.

However, it would be useful if we could see the mapshare corrections we make on our TomTom devices when we get home to enable us to add them all to the Map Share Reporter.

For example, yesterday I was in Dagenham (20 miles from home) and noticed a missing roundabout and did a MapShare correction. However, now I can't remember where it was at all so cannot add it to the Map Share Reporter Tool.

If the two facilities could be combined or just a "review mapshare corrections" on TomTom devices then it would make it that much better.

Doesn't accept reports from Australia!

I know we are a small market, but why exclude when you could be collecting data.

Please extend to include australia.
