I updated my TomTom 720 before Christmas and it now displays a cartoon of a baby in a nappy wishing me a "Merry Christmas", which was very sweet at the time. It is now nearly February, how the hell do I get rid of it ?????

It should be updated automatically but it seems not. You can probably contact support and ask them to walk you through with it in aupdating it manually.

Go to 'my computer' and open the hard drive contents of the device, there's a file named splashw.bmp into the main folder. You can replace the image with any picture you like, just make sure that the image width and height is: 480*272 pixels and saved as a 24 Bit bitmap file extension, this can be done with normally any picture editor or use the program paint which is standard included in Windows.
