I'm glad I stumbled upon this forum. I've been annoyed since day one that the MapShare function hasn't worked on my VIA 1535TM, when it worked perfectly on my old ONE XL•S. I bought the 1535 primarily for the lifetime map updates which my ONE didn't have, and have to admit that I've been very impressed with most of the features and functionality I've discovered (and there is so much that it does take some time to discover it all) with the exception that for whatever unknown reason it sometimes becomes reeeeeeealy so slow such that by the time it figures out what it wants me to do, the opportunity has already gone by) but I was taken off-guard by the change from TT Home to MyTT. Most of that has been good, but it still comes back to, why does my fancy new unit not have the same basic functionality (in terms of MapShare) that the old one did? Now I see that it's a "future feature", but HOW future? How long do we have to wait for what should have been there in the first place? I emailed TT about this, but the reply that came back was somewhat off-the-mark and didn't answer the question. And what's with this "Map Share Reporter" thing? They could gather input straight off our devices (which is part of what we paid for) but they want us to make separate note of all our corrections so that we can later input it all by hand??? I don't just hardly think so! What the heck kind of feature is that?? Come on, TT, what gives? Could somebody please fill us in on what's going on? (sorry to sound so gruff, but this really bugs me!)

Agreed - the top=-of-=the range models NEED a Nav Device to work as expected from box.. I don't have a date but intend exploring further (Again)

Thanks, Shorty -- can you at least confirm that MapShare is actually on the implementation list for these?

I've heard so but will be able to check today. It's only my guess (not company-speak) that it's related to getting software (idea perhaps?) to work as it should but I agree it's been a long time coming.
