The maps are larger with the buildings and takes stronger hardware to display them.

Yes, I'm also really satisfied with the new map updates for Latvia. Still a lot of missing roads, but it's really getting better ![]()
Thanks!

Thank you Ansis. I've sent a message to the Team working on Latvia; they will be proud of their work so far. Lot's more to do as you say, but they are moving forward all the time.

I'm pleased that what the Content Ops Team promised me a while ago can now be used to navigate in detail rather than by major routes only. There is no perfect map in the World; digital or otherwise BUT there is one big positive that differentiates the Tom Tom from any other PND, that being the facility as an owner to download data - on a personal selection of status of that data - to your unit* (and use the reports you may have made yourself on your unit) at any time between Map Shop Releases. In this way you can have "the latest map" on your unit.
I think janis, we're now in the stage of 'dotting the i's and crossing the t's' of Latvian Data. There's another step or so by the Content Ops Team themselves before we can start calling the map 'mature' but this is also the stage where Map Share Reporter contributions become much more meaningful and will play an enormous part. One IS now able to make reports on detail aspects rather than building a few tens of thousands of reports when the map is in it's early stage of production.
The Map Share Reporter tool is the quickest means to place data forward to that Ops Team. I'm pleased that you are pleased ![]()
* I believe that MSR contributions can now be loaded by Nav3 units (via my Tom Tom) but I've asked for a little more detail before I shout it out loud
