Map purchasing

I line in NZ and have just bought and [hopefully] installed a map of Australia. How can I tell, before arriving in Australia that it is successfully installed in my device?

Hi,

please enter your device's preferences menu and flip through the pages until you get an option called something like "switch maps". Access that option and select the Australian map as being active. If you can now choose destinations in Australia although it won't be routing you the map will be installed successfully. Now just switch back to your NZ map so you'll be able to use that one again.
