I tried ringing their technical support on 020 738 7544 and got through to the menu system, opted for tech support then waited 15 mins on the phone with no answer. I find it hard to believe that a company you would expect to be pretty large has such a naff system. Is this normal or am I using the wrong number?

You called the right number, but their lines are much busier than usual. The 0845 number would take you to the same place.

If I had wanted to listen to Boney M for umpteen minutesduring a call to Customer Services I could have downloaded from ITunes much cheaper.
Had a simple question as I WAS considering upgrading my old GO 500. Might as well forget it now (although I have just bought the Canada USA maps). Obviously TomTom don't need repeat business. This will be my 3rd TomTom (not including those that I have recommended to others). NOT IMPRESSED with Customer Service.

Why is it so difficult to contact Tom Tom ??????? apart from using a 09 number
Rider communication issues, anyone help??
the unit works prefect when connected to the charged mount, but if I connect the charging cable, it asks me to to connect the *Car Hands-Free Kit* and I get no more blue tooth coms to the Cardo Scala G4 head set
Any suggestions welcome.
