Out of curiosity, I went to the map purchasing section. One map update for Europe costs 69,95 euros. Ouch. That's a lot of money. Wait, let's look at the 18 month subscription above. Surely should be better. That option reads 18 months of updates is 4797,00 euros!!!!!
To make it more attractive, the blurb says that the price is discounted by 40%. Hey, that's good. It could be even worse, having to pay more than the cost of a small car just to get the updates. Thinking it again, at that price it could be better just to throw away the device and get a new one each three months.
UPDATE: clicking on the "purchase now" button gives a much more reasonable price of ... 79.95 euros. That's a nice discount ![]()
Someone at TomTom should check the site pages. I don't have much trust in buying with someone that gives a different price depending on which page it is displayed.
I looked for a place to report this issue, but did not found a contact mail or phone number to call.

I came to know from few of my friends that it is a same issue which is still going on.May be TomTom working on this.
