I got a Tomtom at my local costco. It has US Canada maps, but not UK and Continental Europe maps. Can I use it when I am on vacation in Europe next month?

On the TomTom website, top right corner, MyTomTom, Manage Content. That will show you the available space.
I'm not with you on the speed penalty question though.

There is also a bug on both the US and Canadian sites listing the memory size in the specs tab. It just says 'yes' for internal instead of the 4 gb size.......
I believe the poster is asking if data retrieval by the unit will be an issue if the map is on a sd micro card instead of internal.
If a user gets at least a class 6 speed ration card, there should be no problems...
