"Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

Hello - I am having trouble updating my map on my Go 2535 Live through MyTomTom.  I connect the device to the computer and it recognizes that there is a new map available.  When I try to download it, it asks me if I'd like to replace my old map with the new version.  When I click "Yes", I get an error message that says there isn't enough memory on my device to install the new map.  Anyone else having this problem?  Any ideas?

Thank you very much...  I can't figure out how to delete my old map though MyTomTom.

Can you check and post here which map is installed on your device and which map is offered to you via MyTomTom ?

Re: "Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

There is an ongoing bug on TT's map servers whereby users are offered maps they already have. Could be the issue here.

Re: "Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

Hi,

please ignore this update at the moment as it has to do with a new version of the MyTT application that is being offered by TT. They know about this issue and are looking for the solution to solve it as fast as possible.

Regards
Lars.

Re: "Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

Hi Fluffy27,

do you have the microSD card slot on your device? If yes you can just purchase any microSDHC card with up to 32GB and at least a Class6 card. The memory card only needs to be large enough to fit the map you just purchased. If you might purchase further maps later on I recommend though to purchase a 8GB-card as that'll be enough for most users additional to the internal memory.

Lars.

Re: "Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

Do Ihave to buy a new card with more memory for my latest update?

I have just purchased the updated map and can't download it. I must point out my present card came with my Tom Tom when I purchased it!

If I have to buy a new card where can I purchase it?

Re: "Not Enough Memory" on 2535 LIve - Can't Update Maps

Hi kinge,

to give an answer to that question we need some additional information:

Which device do you have exactly?
How much internal memory does your device offer?
Which map do you like to install and which maps are currently installed on your device? Please include the version numbers of those maps as well.

Regards
Lars.
