POIs gone after map update

Replaced 3 yr old USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P map with new United_States_2GB map on my TomTom 140S. Now I don't have any POIs. The new map update seems to work correctly except for the POIs. The entire POI menu is grayed-out. There seems to be a POI file included with the new map but it is not being accessed. Does anyone have a quick solution for this problem. I must be missing something simple here...

Re: POIs gone after map update

Using Explorer, you do see a map folder called United_States_2GB  on your unit? And within that folder is a poi.dat file?

Have you tried a reset of the unit by holding the power button about 100 seconds till you hear the drum sounds?

Also, make sure you have a gps signal on your unit before searching pois. Otherwise it won't know where you are and that may account for the issue.
