I tried to update my Tom Tom ONE XL device, even paid the $75 fee to get the latest maps, during the download to update my device, an error message occurred and now the maps are not listed on the device and when I tried to do a restore from my computer the message not enough room came up. My computer has Vista as the OS.
I tried to contact support for assistance, having now paid for the map upgrade, only to find my device is a legacy device and no longer supported via telephone support, great, they want the money and don't provide the service.
I'm sure if I called them and accepted the upgrade to a nerw device offer as well (more money), they'd provide phone support for a few more weeks until that was a legacy device too.
Any suggestions on getting my device active again, please?
Thanks

I have the same problem... how do you format the memory??

Open My Computer (assume it's a PC with Vista), right-click the Removable drive, and click format, you can either do a deep format or a quick format.

It worked! And I was able to re-install from scratch!

Hi,
My TT Home shows new maps are available for my XL but when I follow the FAQ for map update it tries to charge me but I'm supposed to get the latest free with the latest map guarantee? Why isnt it working?
I also have the Western Europe one but the only maps I have are for the UK and ROI? How do I get the Western EUrope maps I should have? I have posted elsewhere but not had a response and I have tried the contact numbers but cannot get through.
I have scanned the FAQs but havent found a similar post.
Regards
Craig
