Need help with TomTom N14644

HI all,

I purchased this TomTom 3 years ago for my husband and when I went to charge it today it kept telling me there were no maps found. 

I honestly don't remember if there was a software disk with it when I bought it.  But I have tried installing TomTo Home 2 and I am still getting nowhere.  Is there anything I can do to fox this as I cannot afford to buy a new one at this time.  Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

That isn't a model. Provide the first 2 characters of your serial number in this link:

Ok, it looks like its an XL 350 as the first two letters are GK.  Thanks for your help.

I see a lot of questions for TomTom One N14644 -MADE IN CHINA. But I'm not seeing answers. Please help. I have same problems as seen here.

I haven't gotten a response in this forum that was helpful at all.  Not sure what to do!  I guess this TomTom was a waste of money and time.  Have any siggestions?

1. Save everything from the device, using Explorer (or Finder on Mac), include all the files (hidden as well). It is also known as a manual backup: http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13354/

2. Then format the internal storage (or memory card, depending which one you use) of your device. Use the COMPLETE format, not the quick. http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12412/

3. Go to TT HOME, Manage my "DEVICE", delete everything from the hard drive and try the update again (in the new TomTom HOME app it is on the second page). At this point you might have to disconnect the device a few times and switch it ON/OFF to enable it to setup some important stuff.

4. Copy your voices and post codes back to the device (also the maps if that didn't download either).
