Adding SD card

Hi All,

I recently inserted a 4Gb SD card into my TomTom OneXL and  my TomTom Home won't recognize the device until I remove the SD card. This is frustrating as I have just paid big dollars for a new overseas map  that requires over 2Gb of space and even when I reinsert it after connecting to home, it doesn't recognize the SD card and says my device doesn't have enough space. Any suggestions?

Re: Adding SD card

I had exactly the same problem with an SD card I bought and put the European maps on. the tomtom doesn't even recognise that the card is there, so I have never been able to use the maps. I have asked for support about it, but have received no reply.

Re: Adding SD card

I have had the same problem in the past. I had to call the support line & be guided through the set up for my 720 T

unfortunatly i cannot remember the set up process but do remember that several emailed solutions from them failed to work.

I can only suggest you call them on 0845 1610009

Re: Adding SD card

PS have you tried connecting your device  to TT home.-top left click device & then click change device???

this should then change your device from internal memory to SD card memory
