I won't pretend to kow what your error message means, but it may have to do with your browser. Which model TomTom do you have?
You might learn something from this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5563343_fix-http-error.htm

Hi,
@sallor
his device is a
XL IQ Routes TTS* / 340S - 2GB
@madtrucker:
This error seems to come up sometimes when using the TT Home application. In some cases you can just continue and it'll work anyway. Make sure your application isn't blocked by antivirus or firewall software. That may cause this problem. Also make sure you've got the latest version of the TT Home application installed which is v2.8.3.2499.
Regards
Lars.

Good guess. I have the latest version and tried shutting down the firewall. still nothing.

Are you using Windows 7? You might try running Home in compatibility mode.

The best I can guess is the server is down. Anyone know when it will be back up, if at all? Am I the only one having this problem?

I have been trying for over a month. I have the latest version of Tom Tom Home and am able to do anything else I need to do.
