On my 530 with 9.400 rds-tmc is working better than v8.351. Quicker to connect and more frequent updates. As I've said elsewhere, if it had been this good a year ago I would not have got a 550. Can't offer any advice other than it seems not to be 9.400 that is to blame?

I guess it could be anything to do with the vagueries of TT, but I can confirm that this morning I downloaded 9.40 (again) and again couldn't get RDS-TMC connection but ,whilst sat in Traffic, I switched the unit off and inserted the SDHC card with 8.371 on and before the traffic had moved more than 50mtrs I had Traffic info through the RDS-TMC antenna.

did you try copying the files mvl posted to your 9.400 installation? It would be good to know if that'll solve the problem.

I have done some experimenting with copying files across from App 8.371 to App 9.40 as suggested. Unfortunately none seemed to make any difference to obtaining a signal with RDS-TMC whilst using App 9.40.

However I have discovered that if I do a soft reset (drum roll) on the unit whilst using App 9.40 I can obtain a signal every time and very quickly. If I turn the unit off and on in the normal way then the unit never obtains a signal and the same applies to doing a "factory reset".

But, without fail, doing a soft reset works every time. Not very practical in every day use but it might help TT get to the root of the problem eventually.

I have the old RDS-TMC Traffic Antenna Receiver USB type Not sure if this helps but worth a try I guess? Is there something imbedded in the new 9.400 application that isn't there for the receiver to pick-up?

The moment I remove 9.400 and install the old 8.351 application the receiver antenna collects the info it requires and functions normally.

The only hiccup with having the old 8.351 application installed is eventually you will have to re-install the compulsory new 9.400 as this updates check box is blanked out to prevent you from not downloading it.

If you wish to just use the old application to use the traffic antenna receiver. I see TomTom in the Netherlands is already onto this one? Hope you guys find a solution?
