RDS-TMC Reciever keeps disconnecting

Hi All,

I bought a tomtom 2405Tm and for some reason the RDS-TMC reciever keeps connecting and disconnecting from the GPS. It happens randomly and I though the cable has a loose connection. But i dont even have to move the cable, it just connects and stay connected for a bit  and then disconnects (it keeps happening).  Let's say I am on a call over bluetooth, even that gets dropped when the cable disconnect.

Has this happen to any of you ? do you think my cable is busted or is it a software issue?

Any advice would help :smileyhappy:

Could be any of the above mentioned. Is there a friend or anyone with another TT device around to check the cable?

Non of them I know has this cable. Plus this connector is different from other usb connector makes it more frustrating. I live in Toronto and there is not a single shop that sells just the cable for this **bleep** thing :smileysad:

:smileysad: Is it mini or micro USB? If mini, you could get an adapter to convert it to micro. There is a chance you can get a micro to mini.

If you bought the antenna with the unit, it should still be under warranty. Look carefully and see if any of the magnets are missing from the usb connector. They are circular.
