Live Services in Germany

Bought a 2050 World edition in Australia to have a unit available while travelling through Western Europe for several months.

Live services in Australia where ok. Getting to Germany I experienced a totally different scenario.

Over the last 4 days I managed to connect to live services only on 2 sporadic occasions. All the other times I get the annoying message: Cannot connect to Live Services, try again later.

Tried to re-set my device - same problem.

Can someone tell me what the story is about live services in this part of the world?

thanks,

Hans

Re: Live Services in Germany

As far as I know, it supposed to work. In AU and EU TT devices should use Vodafone. What happens when you go to the Connections menu in settings? Can you see the MCC+MNC, is your SIM ID visible. do you have any bars at all?

Re: Live Services in Germany

Thanks for responding.

The problem is intermittend - unfortunately most of the time there is no connection.

If the connection failed it still get's MCC/MNC, SIM ID + IMEI are ok and the status is connected with 4 bars.

It looks like it's not a problem with the network, but that there are a limited number of slots available on the server, or that the server is not connected to the network.

Just guess-work from my side as I do not know how everything connects.

Just very frustrating. I will probably end up buying a RDS/TMC cable to use local radio stations for traffic information. If I would have known that problems like this exist I would not have bought a LIVE model.

rgds,

Hans

Re: Live Services in Germany

I would call customer services. Maybe 2nd line can do something.
