? I got software update from TOMTOM website via myTOMTOM application (as it should be). I do not understand your question. IT DOES NOT DEPEND as it's the only way to get the software update. Custommer support is unreachable no matter what time I call them and there are no answers to my emails. When you pay you expect at least someone respond to your questions. I will really discourage anybody who would like to buy TOMTOM in the future.

The refunds is dependent, not the update. Just in case, can you please state the software version? You might be under the impression it has updated, but in fact not.

If you've just bought it, and it was all sealed, it supposed to update the map as well to v885. I have a feeling that yours is an ex-display or customer return. v870 is actually 4 quarter late. It makes sense if it was one of the previously mentioned units. They have to either replace or re-activate the map download (latest map guarantee) and the LIVE. I would go for a new one...or for the refund as you said earlier.

Welcome to being a Tomtom customer.  They'll treat you, well actually they don't.

 

Spread the word - Tomtom is a bad purchase decision.

 

Suggest return to seller "As not fit for purpose". Write to tomtom or whoever sold it to you stating just that.

 

 

1) it's a continuonce of constant daily errors. I never seem to have a fully functional unit and I've 2 to call on.

2) Tomtom owe all of us money for the breakdown/s and non honuring of contractural services.

3) WE are STUPID to put up with this constant carry on !
 
4) Everyone, get onto Tomtom for reimbursement!
