Re: LIVE Services outage (Error 148)

Nevergiveup. See msg 94 to which 111 is quick reply.
From the Concerned Pommie Bast''d, who's fed up of being Tomtitted on from a great height because he purchased a pile of Roo dodo.
Tomtom Svc is nonexistent. So keep your money in in pocket . There are many more worthwhile places to spread your wealth.

Re: LIVE Services outage (Error 148)

@Nevergiveup. I 100% agree with "dannyhusband".
Reading your missives, you are either a Toms'it shareholder; an employee cacking yourself that Toms'it will go bust because it treats customers so bad (then you need find a job). Or maybe you are the head of some new Wacko Cult Religion that believes we good people should give all our hardearnt to companies who rip us off. THink about it as if someone stole your beer after you paid but hadn't had a sip!

None of the above:-)  - just a happy TomTom user

I was inconvenienced like everyone else, but there are always ways to work around things.

Am I feeling ripped off, - why should I be? I still have my device (825), the services are working again.

Life goes on. Whether one decides to cruise, or walk across the 'stumblingstones' of anger and frustration is a matter for each Individual to decide.

As mentioned in an earlier post; " you cannot move forward by keeping on looking in the rearview mirror"

Good luck.

Re: LIVE Services outage (Error 148)

Get real!  Live services are not back to normal.  Please advise where I can get assistance as all the info provided - mostly from bloggers rather than Tom Tom, has failed.  I have a Via180 and can't even seem to update the updated software.  Very very frustrated.

@chutton: http://discussions.tomtom.com/t5/TomTom-GO-800-1000-2000-Via/No-Live-Services-after-update-to-11-036...

Have you tried those?

My LIVE services (downtown London) never even disappeared (OK-OK...only once, for 1 minute).

Re: LIVE Services outage (Error 148)

@Nevergiveup. Msg # 119.

Are you for real? Or a man of Religious Faith? Perhaps even an Alien?
Toms'it has none nothing to assist at all. Is your map out of date? Mine are on two seperate units. We always carry a Medion Gopal as back-up as TT is not reliable. Medion cost £ (english pounds) 100 about 3 years ago. Shortly after I bought my first TT GoLive950 which never worked and had to be replaced by GoLive1005 & GoLive820. Thank God I kept my maps and digital compass. I've had to use them many times. Strangly current TT maps do not have 2 large residential locations I've been going to for 5 years. (In Birmingham UK & Murcia Spain). So YES I THINK TT IS TOTAL SH'ONE'T.
I'm glad TT has one happy customer in the entire world.
