LIVE Services outage (Error 148)

Hi everyone, 

 

Update 11th April:

We’re happy to report that LIVE Services are now back to normal. Vodafone were able to restore the service for most affected customers over the weekend.

 

Thursday  5th April:

We are aware that some customers are not receiving traffic information and other LIVE Services (you may see error 148). This is the result of a fire in Vodafone’s datacentre in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Vodafone is resolving the situation. We have been told that some of the effects could last for a number of days.

 

We're sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you. We will give you an update as soon as we have new information.

Will we get a subscription credit during this period?  As customers we have already had to suffer a huge amount of inconvenience and time trying to resolve this issue straight after the GPS fault.

Does TomTom foresee any compensation for the problem caused by this third party network?

 

Not having access to Live Services is a reeeeeeal problem for me now.

OK, where do you see the error codes?

i have updated to fix the GPS issues, and bought a new year of Live services. The device just sits there with a "please wait a moment" message. No error code. Is this the same problem?

It's a real problem to navigate around the big city. I expected that this problem will be resolve in short time. TomTom Live It's not free !!!!!!

Almost certainly the same problem. I only saw the error code once when it first happened yesterday. Since then the symptoms are as you describe.

After updateing the GPS data, my live services are inactive with the message " Einen Moment bitte..."

Please would you give us some information!

yep getting the same thing on a Via125 Europe.

Contacted support this morning and they suggested a reset factory setting, waiting for language selection screen then holding down the power button until you hear the TomTom drum noise, enter county info again and wait for connection. Alls working again - apart from loosing all the settings and favs ;(
