I would drive D!
You just need to stop every 25 miles or so to check for new traffic info and replan your route accordingly.

Or use his device with HD services for local traffic, and run an older device with RDS-TMC alongside, for the distance
Probably TT have ideas along them lines, a two tier service for traffic service - existing 75 mile max and an unlimited. different subscriptions apply, just like the map upgrades

Has anyone else experienced strange HD traffic service today?
My 950 live has experienced several incidents today, where it cannot connect to the TomTom server or error 148, but bizarrely, it has sorted itself out without any reboot.
Then there is the HD traffic behaviour.
At present I am located near Wisbech, Cambs, and the following are the distances my 950 can see live Traffic (straight line, not road distance). The following may change by the time this message is read.
However, when I plan a route (to Telford), and traffic is displayed in the traffic bar, the first and furthest Live Traffic incident is 64 miles away (by road)
If you tap the traffic bar, then tap 'Show Traffic on Route', the device has totally ignored several traffic incidents displayed en route , 18 miles away, along with the incidents over 65 miles (by road).
Yet all appear on the map showing route & traffic incidents.
Frustrating day using my device.![]()

Yep - it was very poor on Friday.
I had a number of disconnections during a 5 hour drive back from London.
I was also stuck in Traffic incidents that lasted quite some time/distance that HD Traffic had no knowledge of, all on Motorways!
Range seemed to be 75 miles from what I could tell.
One thing I did notice is some roads in London were coloured in red - almost as if the road closures were being pushed out by HD Traffic. I noticed this whilst on the M6 so traffic incidents for London were not in range.
I got lots of screenshots, I will post some later.
