That method works about the same (it's all about fooling TT HOME); if a newer version of TT is released, you need to update the application.ini file as well. So you have that problem with both methods
. Maybe it's possible to just enter 99999 in the application.ini and application.tlv file so you're good for some time
. I haven't tried that yet though. Anyway, I think it's best to let the users decide which method they prefer :-).

Actually the very best solution would be that TomTom remove the update forcing!! ![]()
...but I guess it's related to their privacy notifications/changes following the audit they had thus they cannot go back...
