sd memory card for miramar go live 1535

I found / inserted / formatted an SD memory card into the top of my tom tom go live 1535 unit .. it's formatted and is now inserted and ready for use.. any link for how this is to be done..?

After I hook up the usb cord to laptop  the pc doesn't recoginise my device  only the harddrives ...

It won't recognise at all. You can't access the card, only MyTomTom can.

Mostly it is due to piracy reasons.

Hi,

with the NAV3 devices the SD cards work as a memory extension just like an additional hard disk drive in your computer. You cannot save a single file across the different memories but you can use both memories at the same time. All files will be primarily installed to the internal memory by the MyTomTom support application. Only if the file selected for installation is too large for the internal memory the file will be installed automatically to the SD card.
