GO x00 / x10 / x20 / x30 / x40 / x50 (HOME)

Address box is greyed out on my go 720, Ive tried all the obvious, switching on and off, letting battery run out, reset, and connecting to computer and updating firmware but the add box is still greyed out, would love some help, thanks.

let's try a couple things....

First of though,in the future,GO720 falls into the x10/x20/x30 catagory. 1 line down on the discussion page.

If a fix for this comes up it will help others find it when they search for answers in the forum if it's in the

correct catagory....

Ok,greyed out address box...First,go into change preferences,scroll to page 8 I believe,make sure show fewer menu options is unchecked. Look into your planning preferences also,just set what you prefer and restart the unit.

Make sure that you have a sattelite signal also. I've noticed with mine that some options will grey out if I'm

indoors and it isn't locked on...

Let me know what you come up with, in the meanwhile  I'll look through on mine and see what other things pertain to

Thankyou for your reply, I tried your advice but it hasn't worked. However the unit is now accepting address's, this happens every few days then fails again, what I forgot to mention was when you cannot input an address it says "safety lock enabled", I imagine this is a clue to the problem.

'I think I actually know what happened to you. The safety lock prevents you from viewing certain menu items while in motion. In order for you to see those items again, you must first stop moving completely, then reopen the menu. From there, you can disable the safety lock.'
