Re: Not finding the correct road.

Common factor for the affected devices seems to be the Sirf Star 3 GPS chipset. Other models that have another chipset are not yet reported to have the problem.

Re: Not finding the correct road.

Hi,

I have a TT 930 with exact the same problem you described. I think last thursday it worked fine, today I am about 50 to 100 m to the west, according to TT. This is realy annoying. I also tried resetting. I looked at this thread, but I guess I do not even try the suggestions as they do not seem to work. Any suggestion is welcome. I already was looking on the Navigon site to look for a replacement.

Re: Not finding the correct road.

[ Edited ]

I have the same issues. Used it on weds to drive to Alton Towers and back then when i was almost home (within 5 miles) it jumped me off the road and kept giving me odd instructions.

Tried it again tonight and its the same, played around with reboot/restart/format and now it seems to have my position but gives me pedestrian routes when i select the fastest route (tries taking me up a tenfoot at the end of the street) however when I select the route on foot it takes me along the road which i'd expect to go.

Odd.

That's on the Tomtom Go 520

Re: Not finding the correct road.

I have a Go710 and today it has started giving me incorrect actual location. Something like 250-500 metres out from true location. Worked fine until today. I did update on TomTom home this morning so has that update messed something up. Or are the satelites actually not working properly today?

Re: Not finding the correct road.

Hi all, I have never had a problem in the last 10 years of updating maps and software, until today. it appears that im driving off road around 100 metres away lol. I have tried re installing software but that wont work, tried re installing backup but thats no good either, need the dam GPS as well. Tomtom go 520. Maps v880.3810.  Application 9.430. TomTom need to sort this quick!
