Hello, I have just updated to version 9.4... and I don't' like it. Tha automatic start is gone and I would like to go back to the old version - but is it possible without a backup ? Aarslars

Thanks for your reply - unfortunately the old version is no longer on the harddrive. Any other suggestions ?

You could delete all the files in the root of your TT (so not the folders, just the files). Then connect to TT HOME and let it update until you reach the NC version before version 9.400. Please make sure to make a (manual) backup before (see here:http://uk.support.tomtom.com/app/answers/minor_det

As far as I know TTH will download directly the last version!
...and without using an older TTH, even having an old navcore application saved is useless because latest TTH cannot let you unselect the latest navcore version!
Solution is here: http://discussions.tomtom.com/t5/TomTom-GO-x00-x10

As far as I know, the updates go in steps
. See here for the TT HOME problem: http://discussions.tomtom.com/t5/LIVE-Services-HD-

No, I have just tried: after a backup I have renamed the required files/folders and as soon as I have started TTH it has forced me to download and install the latest navcore 9.401! I have also cleared the folder where TTH keeps the navcore previously donwloaded!
I personally prefere to modify TTH than your solution to modify the device: you are fooling TTH believing that the device already has navcore 9.401 installed... If/when a new core will be released TTH will force again the update!
In my opinion is safer to let the user be able to remove the tick from the application update! ![]()

Which device you have?

Okay, then it works differently with different TT models. Because if I format the TT and let it update via TT HOME, I have to update about 3 or 4 times before I have the latest NavCore version on my device (TT ONE XL v1). Thanks for investigating, I still learn new things
.
