Go 710 is losing GPS signal every couple of seconds?

Hi

My tomtom go710 has suddenly started losing GPS signal every few seconds. It goes from full coverage "8 sattellites" to "0" and then back again.

It seemed to be working fine but i connected to home and saw there was a "GPS fix" update and I downloaded it but now the connection seems to be dropping constantly.

Is there a known problem or did I cause it myself?

There is a known problem only to the new units: http://discussions.tomtom.com/t5/TomTom-GO-800-1000-2000-Via/No-GPS-signal/td-p/187009

Yours shouldn't be affected at all. Try this: Go to Manage My GO in TT HOME, and install an older QuickQPSfix, and don't download the latest one.
