Thank you too Julian for these good news and for your help on this topic!
I hope that the update will be available soon.
While waiting for it, I will wait a bit more in my car in order to my tomtom find where I am.
navcore 9.4x seems having intersting features compare to my current version.

A remark from a german user:
My 920 also has problems to pronounce german umlauts (äöü) and sz (ß) since last update. Maybe there is a general problem speaking non-ASCII-characters.

Andreas

Same problem reported in a Spanish Tomtom 920 after updating to last navcore with Tomtom Home. Awful computer voice (Carmen, Jorge), when it tries to read a vocal with an accent, such as é, etc.
I had to go back to previous version doing a restore to solve the problem. Nothing else helped. And then, I automatically lose all the map updates to which I am a subscriber
The "surprise" comes on the road, gentlemen, it is very distracting and therefore dangerous to driving. Please (TomTom) fix it soon, pull back the release, or issue a general drivers warning. It is not funny, it is a very serious matter.
A very concerned customer.

I have the same problem with spanish voices in TomTom 920. After updating the navcore to version 9.401 the voice doesn't recognize words with "tilde" (manténgase, incorpórese, etc). These words are pronounced in a weird way.

I have the same problem with spanish voices in TomTom 720. After updating, all words with non-ascii characters become quite weird. The worst of them all is the "é", which aparently has become a "©" (copyright symbol), so, the word "después" has been converted in "despu-copyright-s". Very funny the first time, but annoying in a long travel.

Since version 9.401 is tomtom using the new Loquendo v7 text-speech engine. The bug occurs when you use this new engine version in combination with an old voice version.
Please try first to delete and install again the voice in tomtom home.
If it doesn't work and, if you don't like to wait :
0] Make a backup
1] Delete or Move all in LoquendoTTS/bin *EXCEPT* "LTTS7AudioBoard.so"
2] Delete or Move all in LoquendoTTS/data *EXCEPT* "LoqAudioBoard.so"
3] EXTRACT* & Copy the whole content from the cab (see end of the message) matching the voice you want to LoquendoTTS/ (Example, the file default7.session must be in LoquendoTTS/ in your tomtom)
Edit 22.03: Aditionnaly, you can delete or move (if present) the folder VocalizerTTS from your device to save free space. (it contains the old computer voice version)
4] Reboot Tomtom & Enjoy.
