Try this if you have tried everything else and feel you have nothing to loose.
I've just managed to fix my Tomtom Go 750 live, without any assistance from support, not that any was offered.
My device was stuck constantly looping and I tried everything on these forums to correct it, to no avail.
This may be a fix for most devices, but I am only a user and cannot guarantee that it will work.
However if you find yourself like me, unable to get a reply or satisfactory fix then it is worth trying.
Now this may seem rather extreme, but it seems to have done the trick.
Firstly connect your device to your computer and open tomtom home then switch the device on.
Go to "manage device" (manage my Go, in my case.) and remove everything from device.
Then close tomtom home.
Now click on "computer" in windows, and look for your tomtom.
Click on "explore", or "open".
You should see all the files on the device listed.
Now click "Organize", and select all.
Move all files to a new folder on you computer. (I used an external hard drive as I'm short of memory.)
Drag and drop worked for me.
Once you are sure you have everything backed up on your computer, right click on you tomtom device in "Computer", and select "Format".
(This was a nervous moment.)
There will be a warning message that says you will loose all information on device. (Don't worry, you've backed it up.!)
When the device is finished formatting, open Tomtom home again, and it should go to "update". If not, then select update.
It should now find and suggest updates for the device.
Click on "update my device"
It should suggest applications and maps. Select these if it doesn't do it for you.
Don't worry about the voices yet.
Once this is finished, (it may take some time,) it should tell you that it is restarting the device.
When it has restarted, your device should miraculously work again for the first time, and ask if you want to connect to the computer. (If this is the case then its working.!)
Click "No", and disconnect.
If you have live services, you need to log in again, and petrol stations and safety cameras will not be shown until you reinstall them later, via "Manage my device" in Tomtom home. Likewise, voices etc.
Try planning a short trip and check that it is working. (I had to do this twice, as the first time it was constantly waiting for GPS).
If you are happy that it is working in its basic state, then reconnect to Tomtom home and add (One by One -Thanks TomTom..!) all your other files from "items on computer".
Its a good idea to do this in stages and keep checking that the device is functioning correctly, as it may be that the cause for the original crash, was a damaged or corrupted file.
So that's it. I hope that this information is useful, and please be aware that I am not part of the support team, if indeed there still is one, nor am I a computer wiz.
Good luck and Next time I'll be buying a Garmin.

Hello - I would like to thank you for putting this information on this site I have been looking for a fix for over 2 weeks and this fix has worked a treat. I could not get throught on the phone to Tom Tom customer services having waited over 35 mins I gave up.
I would say however that poss the last problem you had of not getting the GPS signal was becasue you need to sign into your tom tom account before that stage. After having the same prob I went to live on sat nav and signed in and then it worked right away. So once again many thanks this has saved my a lot of money.
For tohers thinking of purchasing another sat nav, I have looked at other's and read quite a few reports on the Which web site and although we all have a go at Tom Tom and thier customer services updates ect: the other sat nav's I looked at are noware as good overal as Tom Tom. So will be staying with them until I read updated reports on thier competitors. I do beleive that Tom TOm too need to resolve a few problems with thier soft ware as a few updates have not worked for me in the past without a lot of fiddling with TomTom Home and my sat nav. But things at present are now working OK so it might have been becasue there was a gremilin in the works on my sat nav which have now been cleared through this fix.
