Best TomTom for hands free calls?

Hello,

I have an specific need fo my future GPS, I need hands free calls through the nav as the car does not include it. Whats? your recommendation?

I saw Go 6000 does not include it, what seems really odd for the new software and hardware navigators?

Thanks in advance.

Although I've never used that feature, I understand the Go 1005 Hands free is good.

As a SatNav, the 1005 is also an infinately superior device in every respect.

Re: Best TomTom for hands free calls?

Thanks Mike!

You are right, I think I'll go for the 1005, I don't thik the new interface will be transfered to the 1005 anytime but seems to be a good SatNav.

regards

Yes. Thank god, in another post, Q&A TomTom VP Heiko Schilling states that they cannot transfer the new UI to older devices for 'technical reasons'. Thank you, thank you, Heiko.

So at least while still available, there will be a SatNav worth buying.

Re: Best TomTom for hands free calls?

If you're happy with a 4.3" screen, I noticed that TomTom have the Go 1000 Live available in their Outlet section of their online store for £109. I assume the 1000 is the same as the 1005, but with a slightly smaller screen?

If you use voucher code AffiaccyRef2 the you get 10% off as well.  Seems like quite a good deal consider it comes with a years LIve Services and a full TomTom warranty.

Please note I've not used this device, so can't comment on it's quality as a hands free car kit.

Re: Best TomTom for hands free calls?

The 1000 is the same but with smaller screen. Also it has no memory card slot (but the 1005 v2 has). Don't forget, apparently devices bought from their outlet are not eligible for the latest map guarantee and might have a 2-3 years old map installed. Also warranty wise those are trickier...

Re: Best TomTom for hands free calls?

In the USA, the GO1005 is the GO2535LIVE.   Try ebay/amazon/bestbuy/etc, there may be a few left but it is a discontinued model.
