Re: Start 20 user Manual

You can download the manual at the following website:

http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/start/manual.htm

Note: You need Adobe Reader to be able to open the PDF file format.

Re: Start 20 user Manual

Hi Stefan, that link is for the "Start". There doesn't appear to be a manual for the Start 20/25 yet.

Re: Start 20 user Manual

If I had realised that all these functions were not available I certainly would not have bought the unit. Shame on you TomTom. What a let down.:smileymad:

Re: Start 20 user Manual

You'll probably think I am imagining this but there was a Start 20 manual available about 2-3 weeks ago and I downloaded it and have it on my Mac. The title is Tom Tom Start REFERENCE GUIDE (my caps.) not Tom Tom Start  as per the link above. It has 78 pages not 38 pages as per the link and the illustrations show it IS for the Start 20. No mention of microUSB cards or backing up etc but it is the real thing. Whatever is going on, it's not available on the web site link now - would anyone from Tom Tom care to offer an explanation please?

A previous post from Tom Tom suggested the Via series manual covered the Start 20 but I found it confusing with references to using voice control and was not the real thing.

Re: Start 20 user Manual

Sorry I meant to say "no mention of microUSB socket and microSD card". Some days are like that!

Re: Start 20 user Manual

Well done - yes that's the one I described and which I downloaded a few weeks ago. I could not find the link when I looked recently though.

Re: Start 20 user Manual

Have tried this link several times but keep getting error message to say file is damaged. Have to say I do not find the START20 intuitive to use. Certainly not as straightforward as my previous device (mio). Not impressed with TomTom at all so far.
