90 days expired, right out of the box!?!?!?

I just got my first TomTom, and so far the experience is far less than desireable.  When I turned it on, it told me to update the maps, when I went to do this, they tell me that my 90 days of free updates are over. I just bought the friggin' thing, how can it be over? It was bought new from Wal-mart, so I don't get it. Trying to contact TomTom is like pulling teeth. "Need Help? Ask us first!" Why so I can become even more frustrated when I realize that for some reason, your email doesn't work? Or when I  call your phone number on the box, you people want me to pay for the call (long distance) to try to get help for your product? I tell you this, I'll check back here for a couple of days, but if I don't get the help that I need... back goes the TomTom, and hello Garvin.  Oh and BTW, it still hasn't found a GPS location in two days.

Yeah, thanks for for the "tip" on how to contact you. I'm not gonna be calling you and wasting more money on the long distance charges. What about the 90 days of free maps? Is there any way to get them?

Hi

Your not contacting me I'm just a user like yourself :smileyhappy:

You can always email Tomtom

You don't have 90 days of free maps !!! You have a 90 day limit, to get a one off update to latest version of your map.

@smackin: You can also e-mail them, don't have to call. It is just quicker over the phone. They also have CS in Canada, shouldn't call abroad.
