you can if youve had a previous unit transfer voices from say a previous back up to your pc but you cant purchase them yet off the tomtom site ,sorry i wasnt clear in my last post

I wish I had bought a different GPS. I became really annoyed when I discovered the tomtom VIAs limitations...

I was able to purchase a voice, but was not informed that it wouldn't be available for my model.

I wish they had voices, so annoying. I bought the Homer Simpson voice for my 2405 and when it didn't work, they refunded the money.

I previously had a Tom Tom XL Live and was really happy with it- until it died after 2 months light use.
I got a replacement of the TT Via 125, as I was told the Xl was no longer available.
However, now I can't seem to import any of the voices I had previously through my TT account. I can't even get the 'Add Community Content' to work_ looks active but option doesn't react in task bar on mac.
Your help would be much appreciated.

Dear shutterbug,
The Mac version of MyTomTom doesn't seem to work well (yet). There are cases in which the Add Community Content button doesn't do anything when clicked, while it is supposed to be opening your default web browser (Safari) on the upload/download page.
I found that Exiting MyTomTom and restarting it solves the problem with the Add Community Content button and makes it open the upload/download page.
If it still doesn't work, you can open Safari and paste in this URL:
The possibility to upload or not new voices is linked to the firmware/model of your device. If you are unlucky you may only see the option to upload/download POIs.

thanks for that.
it seems like TT have launched this without finishing the support/ software properly. i hate it when you buy product/software and you just feel like a guinee pig testing there beta stuff.
Anyway- the Community button still doesn't do anything, and I'm afraid that link didn't do work either.
Any other suggestions?
