GO 800 / 1000 / 2000 / Via / Start 20 and 60 Series (MyTomTom)

My TomTom will not turn on when connected to the car power cord. It does turn on when connected to my USB port. What should I do?

What happens when you try to press the ON button for like a minute? If nothing, maybe your battery is dead.

In my vehicle, because of how the cig. lighter socket is connected, the TomTom won't power up if I just turn the key to "start". If I pause for a couple of seconds at the first position (accessory), it powers up OK.
