I dont know whats happening, but i've been travelling around USA and this is the second time that my 1535 stopped working, the first time i've just swapped it in the store.
What happens is when i hold the on my device doenst start, i've tried to double tap then press, press for 10 secs, 15 secs, 30 secs,even one minute!!
What should i do? I mean, I really liked the device, but this is the second time that happens in a 5 day window!!!

I just had the same problem with my Start 20. It was fine last night, switched off when I arrived at destination, this morning, dead.

My Tomtom is is new, i got it in Feb 2012 but i just used it recently, my 1535 just stopped working, it doesn't start evven if i long press the start botton. What should i do?

Does it start if connected to a power source like the computer or car?

Have you tried resetting it by holding the power button about 15 seconds till you hear the drum sound?

Okay....... try this procedure (called 'Recovery Mode')
Connect your unit to the computer.
Hold the power button until you get the drum sounds AND KEEP HOLDING it a further 10 seconds or so until you get to a screen with lots of rows of information on a black background. This is the diagnostic screen.
Now then, 3 QUICK taps on the power button (half a second apart).
You should now see a screen with a gear on it. And the last known good application should automatically be sent to your unit.
Open the MyTomTom web page, wait a few seconds, and you should now (under new items) get offered the most recent application. Go for the download again..
