Re: Mapshare on 1005

It's a bug in MyTomTom, offering the same mapshare files again and again......

Re: Mapshare on 1005

Does the myTomTom application still indicate that a new item is available for download after installation? If not then the corrections are installed even though the browser displays a message 'your navigation system is up to date, there are no updates available' (with the mapshare corrections below the message offered as update).

Click on the green myTomTom button on the webupdate page, and click on 'search for updates'. The mapshare corrections update should now not be offered anymore.

Re: Mapshare on 1005

I have the same problem as Aadje60 and this has been going on for about a week now.

The MapShare update was installed a week ago but within seconds of the unit telling me that it's ok to disconnect the same update appears as available to download in my TomTom

Re: Mapshare on 1005

If the unit is still connected to your computer, disconnect it.

Click the TomTom hands logo on your task bar and select

Settings/Cache/Empty the Cache.....Then close MyTomTom.

Now,reconnect your device and turn it on.....MyTomTom should self open

and you shouldn't see the update being offered any longer(unless there's a new update of course but

if you already downloaded it today you should be all set) remember, you can get Mapshare corrections as much as everyday

but it should only be once each day.

If it does still show up you can open a trouble ticket with TomTom CS but I believe they know about a bug causing this for

some customers and are currently addressing it....

Re: Mapshare on 1005

Clearing the cache, closing the browser completely helps here also. However for me the MyTomTom app doesn't offer for download after the download, only the web version of the MyTomTom.
