GO 800 / 1000 / 2000 / Via / Start 20 and 60 Series (MyTomTom)

Hi All, I'm new here. I just got a new TT Start 20 with my new car and have tried to put a Google location into the TT. I go to Google maps click on "more" then send to a GPS device select Tom Tom and click, a TT screen then comes up and I launch TT Home but that's as far as it gets. I have since read that TT Home is not compatible with a Start 20, so is there a way to do this?

I used to have a Garmin and I followed the same route as mentioned above, a Garnim screen would come up recognise my Nuvi and transfer the location into the favorites, all very simple.

If the Start 20 uses MyTomTom and not Home 2 then it can't be done, sorry.

If you point to a place on google maps and the right click and select "Whats here" the GPS cordinates of that point are put into the search box, these can then be used on your TT as the "Latitude/Longitude" for entring a "Favorite", "POI" or "Navigate to"

In the Start 20 you can't. That's a NAV3 device.

Hi,

there is one option though. Install the TYRE software which you'll find using the link below.

That application uses Google Maps or Google Earth just like you prefer. You can create POIs with that software and then copy these POIs to your device using the "Add Community Content" option. But still it is a separate software that won't work directly from your browser. Still if having found a location with Google you can use the same term to search for it with the TYRE software as it uses the same data.
