I own a restaurant, locally to my home, but when I look for restaurants in my area, every other restaurant comes up but mine. How do I add my Business to the list of Restaurants?

To show your company on maps as a Point Of Interest (POI) you can apply for TomTom Places. Click on this link - http://mycompany.places.tomtom.com/?locale=en_GB - to enter a description of your business activities and other useful information about your business. TomTom Places also gives companies the opportunity to advertise.

it is only showing possiblitys to add it in another country ... how do you add a business to tom tom database in the united states ?

It does not even look like you could add a business in Australia. It seemed to be stuck on Netherlands.

I tried using the link given but changing the GB at the end to US. I went through the process of entering information, but when it came to selecting location, there are only about 12 countries listed, none of which is the US. How in the world do we get registered?

Try the following:

• Type the name of your company in the 'company field';
• Type the name of the city in the 'city field';

Click on the button 'Search for your company'. When the company isn't in the database, a message appears. Click on the 'Add new company' button to add your company to the list.

I still don't think that answers the two questions above about how to add a United States based business.  The drop downs are all European countries and the UK.  There is NO OPTION for United States.  

Is there NO way to update TomTom for US Based businesses?  With Tom Tom being the maps provider for iOS6 - I am sure many US Businesses will want to make sure their business is listed and CORRECT in Tom Toms maps.

Try adding a POI in a mapshare:  >Settinigs > Map correction > Correct a Map error add missing POI >Restaurant then choose address.

You can put on the map your business entering the info on the menu of tomtom follow the menu i describe on my replay using your using your tomtom device will be able  put you business as point of interest and input the info then the info will be shared in mapshare.
