My newly purchased Go Live 2050 is showing as a GO Live 1005 in the Popup window from the tray in MyTomTom. My OS is Windoze Vista. The driver is installed OK and my device is apparently connecting OK.
Is this actually a problem or is it just that my device is very new on the market and MyTomTom hasn't caught up yet?
the 2050 is the Australian equivalent of the European 1005 and the American 2535. Those devices are all the same and are just called differently on different countries.
I've just wasted precious hours on this problem. A note on the packaging would certainly help

One likes to know that one is downloading and installing the appropriate software. A 1005 sounds like a way earlier model though I now know it to be the same. While we're on the subject the instructions for logging on and installing free updates could be clearer. I at one stage stumbled into a request for an activation code I don't have.
I see. Thought there was a problem due to it being recognized as 1005. There is lack of documentation in the box, but most of the questions are answered in the Support section.
