Does anybody suffer from bluetooth problems on their Go 1xxxx i.e losing sound on the unit but call still live or person your talking to hears a loud buzzing noise...
I have had a few of these and each one has had problems since updating to new firmware?

Yes, there have been numerous reports of bluetooth problems starting on app 10.110, and remaining in app 10.111.
On the GO x20/x30 series, Tomtom released app 8.350 that broke bluetooth, and they never fixed it. But you could at least manually downgrade the software to 8.302 so that bluetooth became stable again.
On the GO x40 series, the same thing happenned, and it took over a year for Tomtom to fix the bug (it wasn't fixed until app 9.054).
Judging based on past experience, it doesn't bode well for a fix any time soon. And unlike prior models, you cannot downgrade the software to a more stable version. Hopefully Tomtom offers better support on the GO1000 series and can get this resolved in a shorter timeframe.
Call Tomtom and report the issue. The more people who call them, the more they might prioritize a fix.
If bluetooth is critical for you, you should consider returning the device as unfit for purpose, and getting another model.

Thanks MVL
Well I called TomTom Tech Support and explained but they said they have never heard of this issue on these units. I said I was not happy and she spoke to 2nd line support who said there were a few customers who had reported this problem!!
And their advice..............Take it back to Halfords and exchange it but, "do not connect it to the computor for upgrades or latest map as this will update firmware too for at least a month.
When I went to Halfords they had to ring TomTom to get a returns number I asked that teck guy if they could swap the serial numbers to my account and he said "When you get home give us a call and someone will go through connecting it to the PC and swapping the settings" (even though the other techi said not to)..... Absolutly shocking.
I feel we are paying a lot of money for an unfinnished product!

Hi,
I am having exactly the same problem.
During the call it regularly happens that the voice of the caller disappears. The call is still active because if I take the call back to the phone I can hear the other party.
Some times - not always - the other party claims that they hear a buzzy sound.
I tried different phones having the same problem
I tried different power supplies having the same problem
I returned my Tomtom 2 times to RMA and received another one - still having the same problem
Tom>Tom Answer: We do not know the issue, never heard about it. Must be the mobile
BTW: my mobile is on the compliance list (HTC Desire) AND I tested different mobiles as well
Very annoying

Hi,
I cannot believe that nobody else have this issue?
In my opinion everybody else must have it.
At least with HTC Desire, HTC Diamond or Sony Ericcon Xperia X10
I tested 3 different mobile phones now, having the issue on 2 TomTom GO 1000 live devices, newest updates on mobile phones and on Tomtom. All of them regularly disconnect the voice of the caller.
I tested different power supplies as well and running from battery too.
Who can help or has an idea?
Best regards

I also have the Bluetooth Problem on Go Live 1000 I have a Blackberry 9300, but have also tried the HTC Desire and HTC Wildfire phones on the GPS with exactly the same problem.
The voice of the caller simply disapears but the call is still connected if I check on my phone(s) the callers are reporting white noise at the other end.
I use this feature all the time to take calls from work and it simply doesnt work.
Come on TomTom get this sorted this is a top of the range model you need to support your customers on this and resolve the issue asap.
