Let myTomTom use its own integrated internet browser to update the device.
Examples why this would be needed:

.... nice dream but imagine the data bill that TomTom would have to pay to the 3g provider - 2 GB map upgrades to every gps???
I think we're stuck with using our ISP connections!!

We make still use of our own isp connections.
The TomTom integrated internet browser for updates should be used to act like Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome,.. to access the TomTom update page, except that TomTom doesn't have to make support for all available existing internet browsers (to be able to update the devices: when newer versions come out,..), and is only be used when updating the device.
Paying for the internet and download restrictions, download limits,.. are still for the user. ![]()

A number of years ago, while on a business trip I purchased a tomtom ONE. Soon after I discovered that by using a program called TYRE with Google Earth I could make my own routes: FANTASTIC!
I have enjoyed thousands of custom trips in Canada, the US, the UK and Europe. All of my cars have built-in navigation systems which work great, but none allow me to plan my custom routes in advance like my ONE.
I recently purchased a tomtom GO 2535 TM as I felt I should upgrade. I liked the fact that I would have my NA and Europe maps available to me on one device (with my ONE I would have to change the card depending on where I was). I also liked the wide screen and easy mounting capability. To my immense disappointment, however, I discovered that I cannot load my custom routes to this device. As well, I cannot load the custom voices I purchased for my ONE as there is no interface that allows me to manage my device on my computer as there is with the ONE.
Is tomtom going to correct this situation in the near future or must I resign myself that I will have to continue with my original ONE? I do not need my tomtom for everyday navigation but I really miss the trip planning capability with the TYRE interface. ![]()

1. Bringing back the feature called TomTom Buddies which i used to have on my Navigator 6 PDA. This was always a great feature for finding a friend or family on TomTom.
You would choose your buddies or Business colleague and then it would refresh and show you exactly where they were in the country. You would then be able to get directions to get to them for fun or work meetings.... This is what I would like to see come back on my wish list.![]()

Your on route, you need petrol.
Travel via > Petrol station.
Green arrows are the ones on the main road, but they are expensive, I need to know how far off the route the orange ones are.
We used to be able to zoom out of the poi mini map which gave an idea, TT in it's wisdom removed this feature even though it seems another great chance to use Pinch to zoom....
The distance information supplied is from current position which gives no idea of where it is in relation to the route.

Highlight route that has been previously traveled in the view map function (Garmin has this)

1. Could the TomTom Team update the 'myTomTom update page' with estimated release times for the upcoming features? I believe this will be appreciated by many of TomTom's customers.
Example:
The following functionality is not yet available
* I'm not a TomTom employee, the above estimated release dates are used as example only and are not the real release dates for the upcoming features *
2. Ability to purchase Live Services on the website is not listed on the upcoming features webpage.
3. Ability to backup and restore the configuration settings seperately?
4. Ability to backup is listed in the upcoming features, restoring the device from a backup would be nice to.![]()
5. Warning in myTomTom when speed camera updates are available to download and install. (haven't received any weekly updates for speed camera's yet) since the device is bought in september 2010.

'Als je beschikt over een LIVE-navigatiesysteem kun je wekelijks vaste flitsers bijwerken via MyTomTom. Mobiele flitsers zijn draadloos beschikbaar.' (If you have a live navigation device then its possible to update the speed camera's weekly via myTomTom).

Change inncorrect speed signage issue:
I currently have a full memory of incorrect speed limit changes to modify, but I never get the chance.
Im able to mark them by navigating through two screens, but then the safety conscious unit tells me I need to be stationary to make the change on the map.
DUH !
These changes will never get done because now ive forgotten what the new speed limits are. Anyone else with this problem?
Instead of navigating two screens to alert myself to the fact that the speed limit NEEDS to be changed. how about a correction button, which when pressed, displays a choice of actual speed limit signs.
One of these could be selected and the job is done.
Is this more dangerous than the folk beside me in traffic reading the paper, having a shave or putting on makeup ?

Oh and could we have a multi waypoint trip thingie so that we can enter a whole bunch of addresses and it sorts them into a logical order please.
