My 1005 is now failing to find a valid GPS signal, it was working fine until yesterday. If I reset the unit, it finds the GPS within seconds after rebooting. But when I turn off normally or remove the power and let it shut down on its own, when restarted, the unit cannot find a valid GPS signal. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix, or should I return the unit under warranty?

Was this not related to the new software update for the TomTom?

Yes, for many people it was. But I've also seen people that had this problems without the update. Even people having done the update that did not have problems. However for the majority, the problems started after the 11.035 update.

Seems I am not alone.

Ive got the same issue.Idont use the unit much but lastweek used it for the 1st time since the last update, all was ok until i drove through the Dartford tunnel and emerged out the otherside it would not find satilittes.Yesterday after every swichoff it would not find satilites until i drumroll reset when it picked up gps immediatly. Its doing the same today .Ive done a factory reset and still the issue persists.Any ideas as to sort this as there seems to be a few people having this issue?Im running 11.035.890538.74 software.
