The login error must be temporary, can you please try again? For me it works fine.

Re: TomTom speed cameras in France

Typical! I logged out and back in and find that all the things I had added to my profile have been added. I think the error was the error message. I'll leave you to pursue that (or not) and look forward to a call from the French team. Thanks again for your help.

Re: TomTom speed cameras in France

Hi PSD,

It is correct that you get 24 files offered. There is one file for each country (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK) + an empty file for France to remove the speed cameras. It is not cear why the file isn't removed from your device. I checked your route on my device and get no warning, neither with the alerts enabled or without.

I also checked the email correspondence you had with us about this (as far as my poor French allows) and asked the agent to escalate the incident internally.

The photo that you had attached shows our speed camera icon but can you still double-check that no 3rd party POI files are on your device? In the Windows notification area, click the MyTomTom logo and select "Add community content" (Ajouter du contenu de la communauté).

Regards,

Jürgen

Re: TomTom speed cameras in France

Hello,

I've never installed any POI on my GPS, i've just some favorites destinations. Is there a mean to brose the files present on my GPS to know wich map files are really installed ?

Regards,

Philippe.

Re: TomTom speed cameras in France

Hi,

Any update on the evolution of the tomtom systems so that they can warn of "zones dangereuses" in France ?

The law was propoted by mid 2011 and signed at the beginning of January 2012.

Competitors have updated their products months ago (most of them in fall 2011).

Has the tomtom R&D defined a roadmap for this update ?

Are the new tomtom products (800 and 1000) series able to warn of  "zones dangereuses" ?

Thanks in advance.

There is no reason to assume that the new NAV3 series won't be capable of the dangerous zones.

Re: TomTom speed cameras in France

Hi Peeps24,

The GO 800 series and GO 1000 are not yet able to support danger zones. Unfortunately we cannot give a date yet but we'll keep you posted on this Discussions thread.

We also opened a thread on this topic on our new TomTom Discussions in French:

Regards,

Jürgen
