Built-in car navigation

I have had my TomTom navigation system installed in my automobile for approximately one year and starting a few days ago, when I try to start the navigation system I get the screen "waiting for navi connection" but it does not connect. Any suggestions as to what I might do before I try to find an authorized dealer in my area to check out my system.

I also have Sirius radio installed on the same auto and it works fine and they were both installed together. I am just not sure why the navigation system will not start. It could be something simple but I was not sure what I should do.

You say you got it solved with everyone's help.....but there is no information on the forum.  what exactly did you do to fix it?  I am having a similar problem.
