Blue & Me Live 2 pairing issue with 2011 Abarth 500c

Hi, I can't pair my new Blue & Me Live 2 with my Abarth 500c which has the latest hardware/software. Is there a workaround/resolution to this problem?

Tomtom helpdesk--please reply!

Kind regards.

Re: Blue & Me Live 2 pairing issue with 2011 Abarth 500c

Hi

Mostly all the users on the TomTom forums aren't working for TomTom. TomTom Staff can be recognized since their names are displayed in red.

Verify that the phone is on the compatibility list:

http://www.tomtom.com/phones/compatibility/

* When the phone isn't available on the list then there's a possibility that its not compatible with the navigation device.

Tip Let the navigation device search for the phone, make sure that bluetooth is enabled on both devices.

The Abarth 500c is a car, not a phone. If someone could please reply with some help, that would be great.

Hi Teebol,

the Blue&Me inside an Fiat 500c Abarth is a different one than in a Fiat 500.

As the Blue&Me inside the Abarth is not compatible with our TomTom software pairing is not possible. Your dealer should be aware of this and if not, he should be able to get this information with his contact at Fiat.

There must be some way to fix this since Blue&Me is easily updated. Is Tomtom working with Abarth to address the issue? Will you release an upgrade/hotfix?

I am sorry to disappoint you, but there is no workaround from TomTom. Maybe your Abarth dealer can find out if he can install a Blue&Me device for a standard Fiat 500. You will miss the special abarth functionality (but if you do not use the original Mageti Marelli PND you are not using this now either).

I am not allowed to tell anything about future products.

Re: Blue & Me Live 2 pairing issue with 2011 Abarth 500c

I have a recently (6 mionths ago) purchased Abarth Punto Evo, a great fun car, after owning an ordinary 500 1.4 Lounge for two years, another great fun car.  My Punto Evo has the same Blue & Me problems experienced with the Abarth 500.

I also have an additional problem. On first switching my SatNav on, the touch screen is frozen. If I turn it off and switch on again it works fine. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there a fix? After the second switch on the equipment works excellent as a SatNav.
